About Mandy:

Manda (Mandy) Suzanne Parker, the youngest of 4 children, was born on October 10, 1979 in Mattoon, IL. As a child Mandy loved dancing and playing with her pets. When Mandy was 8 years old her family moved to Estes Park, CO where she later became a Rooftop Rodeo princess, and in 1998 the Rooftop Rodeo Queen. In high school Mandy excelled in track and field, still holding a school record in the 4×100 relay. Her passion of running sent her to the Colorado State Track and Field meet all four years of high school. She was also very active on the swim team as a diver and she was a drummer in the band.

In 2001, Mandy married John Quinby. She was a devoted mother of three children and a loving wife. She cherished her husband and kids more than anything else in the world, doing everything she could to support them. Mandy had a passion for helping others and making friends making friends wherever she traveled and could often be found chatting with someone new. In her free time, Mandy enjoyed spending quality moments with her family, taking pictures, and watching a good movie. She held deep love for her family, including her sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Mandy left us on January 16, 2023. She is missed every single day. We are hopeful that this scholarship will help educate and bring awareness to the challenges many people face with mental health and suicidal thoughts.
